About the School
Christ Church Grammar School is non-selective school from Pre-Primary to Year 12. Located in Perth, Western Australia, the School overlooks the Swan River at Freshwater Bay in Claremont.
The academic performance of graduating Christ Church boys consistently places the school among the best in Australia.
Our understanding of what motivates boys - individually and as teams - is an important ingredient in a diverse school community where individuals are honoured and boys are encouraged to recognise their individual gifts and talents. The school draws its values from its Christian faith in the Anglican tradition.
Christ Church seeks to motivate boys to achieve excellence together in everything they do. Our boys take a journey through the School's Phases of Learning, designed to motivate them to discover and realise the best in themselves and others. They learn as part of a diverse and caring community supported by exceptional pastoral care.
Christ Church boys are encouraged to be themselves while being encouraged to excel. Indivuduals are respected and valued - all boys can belong.
Christ Church has around 1,600 students, around 110 of whom are boarders. Around 1,100 study in the Senior School (Years 7 to 12) and 500 attend the Preparatory School (Pre-School to Year 6).
An Independent School
Christ Church Grammar School is an independent school that operates autonomously as a not-for-profit educational institution. A great strength of the School is its emphasis on diversity. Christ Church offers a comprehensive range of educational programmes, enabling it to cater to a variety of students, including those from overseas or with special needs. It has strong links to its parent and external communities. Christ Church is also a member of AISWA (Association of Independent Schools in Western Australia).
