Does Christ Church offer the International Baccalaureate (IB)?
At Christ Church Grammar School, we have taken a deliberate and carefully considered decision to offer the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) rather than the International Baccalaureate (IB). By its nature, Christ Church is a School that celebrates diversity. We have a long tradition of an international outward-looking perspective which we feel would not be enhanced by commitment to an externally prescriptive curriculum such as the IB. Christ Church Grammar School offers the WACE with pride and confidence to our community as the certificate of school completion that best suits the needs of our students, regardless of their abilities and interests, backgrounds or aspirations. As a non-selective school, we believe the WACE is inclusive in its philosophy and therefore reflects the key values of the School. For further information on this discussion, please click HERE.
What languages do you teach?
Boys in Pre-Primary to Year 5 learn a range of languages as part of their Cultural Studies curriculum. Boys in Years 6 and 7 can choose either French, German, Chinese (Mandarin) or Japanese. These options are available to boys in the Senior School, although study of another language is optional after Year 8.

Yes, the School runs a comprehensive programme for boys from Year 5 to Year 10. Boys in Years 5 to 9 attend camps based at our Kooringal campus near Dwellingup, which is about one and half hours south of Perth. In Year 10, all boys participate in Venture, an 11-day expedition based in the State’s south-west. Venture is seen as the culmination of a student's Outdoor Education experience and is one of the highlights of a boy’s Christ Church experience.
