Enrolling at Christ Church and Tours
Christ Church considers a range of criteria when offering places to students.
Entry Criteria
- Family or other association with the School
- Date of application
There is no formal entry test for students, but copies of reports from their current schools are required and details of the interests and activities of the student are welcomed.
International applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds are required to demonstrate an adequate level of English language as a pre-requisite to enrolment. Performance at a satisfactory standard on a standardised test of English as a Second Language will usually suffice. We encourage overseas families to consider enrolling their sons from Year 8.
Girls' Schools
For parents seeking schools for their daughters, Christ Church recommends our sister school, St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls and our neighbour, Methodist Ladies' College.
Intake Years
Intake years in the Preparatory (Prep) School are at the Pre-Primary and Year 4 levels. In the Senior School, the main intake years are at Year 7 and Year 10.
Boys can join the School in all other years, provided a place is available. The Admissions Registrar can advise parents of the availability of places. Boys can be waitlisted for entry in case an occasional vacancy occurs.
Boarders are accepted at all levels from Year 7 onwards.
