Grimm Tales, a play adapted for the stage from the stories by the Brothers Grimm, is the Midnite Youth Theatre Company's last production for 2009. It stars Year 8 and 9 students and will be held from Wednesday 4 November to Saturday 7 November, 7.30pm in the CCGS Drama Centre. Directed by Richard Symons (who starred as Tony in West Side Story and was the Midnite Exchangee to the Auden Theatre in 2008), a large cast brings to life a weird and wonderful fantasy world – both dramatic and comic in turn. It is great family entertainment, with wonderful costumes designed by Jay Brien, a suitably ‘fantastic’ set designed by Dean Morris and lighting designed by Thomas Drake-Brockman (Year 10 student). Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 concession, $5 for students and bookings are available by phone on 9442 1584 (you will be phoned back if your requested night is unavailable, otherwise you must pick up your tickets by 7.10pm on the night). Proceeds go towards the Drama tour to the UK in January 2010.
