Community

Giving at CCGS

There are many ways in which members of our community can give to the School. These include the giving of time, treasure or talent. Annual Giving, the Mitre Society and the Christ Church Grammar School Foundation are some of the ways in which you can support current and future generations at the School.

Old Boys’ Association

The Old Boys’ Association is an active body and has since its foundation in 1917 contributed much to the development of the School. The Association is an independent organisation, administered by a committee of old boys who are elected on an annual basis. The committee is responsible for the running of the Association and the achievement of its objectives.

Centre for Ethics

The Centre for Ethics enables boys to engage in the community’s conversation on matters of ethics and spirituality and the way the two connect. The Centre’s regular lectures, workshops, seminar courses, newsletters and visitors bring the wider world into the School and help boys, parents and friends of the School to find meaning in what they do and in the way they live.

Service in Action

Service in Action (SIA) at Christ Church gives students and staff an opportunity to serve those less fortunate than themselves locally, nationally and internationally, and is based on the Christian call to serve others.

Parent and friends groups

There are a variety of parent and friends groups at  Christ Church,  supporting the students and families of our community. These include the Parents’ Association, Don Fraser Club Friends of Rowing, Friends of the Walters Residential Community, Friends of Midnite, Friends of Music and Queenslea Club.

Volunteering opportunities

Are you interested in volunteering at Christ Church? The School is always appreciative of parents who are willing to offer their help in the coaching and management of teams or supporting other activities. We are always grateful for parents who have the skill and time to assist. Times can be flexible to suit other commitments you may have, and it is a great way to become involved in the Christ Church community.
