School Community
Up one levelVolunteering at CCGS
Are you interested in volunteering at Christ Church? The School is always appreciative of parents who are willing to offer their help in the coaching and management of teams or supporting other activities. We are always grateful for parents who have the skill and time to assist. Times can be flexible to suit other commitments you may have, and it is a great way to become involved in the CCGS community.
Parents' Association
The Parents’ Association (PA) meets about 10 times a year and helps the School with decisions and events that involve the parents.
Parents' Auxiliary
The Christ Church Grammar School Parents' Association Auxiliary runs a year-long program which supports the School and provides countless occasions for parents to form friendships, enjoy social events and help enhance the community spirit so special to Christ Church.
Centre For Ethics
Directed by the Chaplain, The Reverend Canon Frank Sheehan, the Centre for Ethics enables boys to engage in the community's conversation on matters of ethics and spirituality and the way the two connect. The Centre's regular lectures, workshops, seminar courses, newsletters and visitors bring the wider world into the school and help boys, parents and friends of the School to find meaning in what they do and in the way they live.
Don Fraser Club
An informal network of old boys has supported rowing at Christ Church since the School entered the PSA competition in 1957. In 1986 parents and old boys officially established the Don Fraser Club with the express purpose of continuing to support the sport at the School.
Old Boys' Association
The Old Boys' Association is an active body and has since its foundation in 1917 contributed much to the development of the School. The Association is an independent organisation, administered by a committee of old boys who are elected on an annual basis. The committee is responsible for the running of the Association and the achievement of its objectives.
Friends of Music
The Music Department has a dynamic group of parents who provide invaluable support to the music programme.
Friends of Midnite
The Friends of Midnite is the support group for the school’s youth theatre company, Midnite.
Queenslea Club
In the lead up to celebrating the School’s Centenary in 2010, Christ Church is inviting former members of staff, past parents and friends of the School to join the Queenslea Club.
