Friends of Midnite

The Friends of Midnite is the support group for the School’s youth theatre company, the Midnite Youth Theatre Company.

Supporters assist in a wide variety of ways; in set building, procuring props, publicity and media relations, costume making, interval refreshments, assisting with supervision of productions when in city theatres, and fundraising for Midnite’s biannual international tour.

The “Friends’ Committee” meets about three times a term, on a Thursday evenings, as designated in the School calendar. The Chair of Friends of Midnite works closely with MYTC Artistic Director and Christ Church Director of Drama, Mr Drew Stocker. ‘Friends’ may choose to be a committee member, or just on the roster of ‘supporters’. As Midnite involves young people from outside the School, there is a wonderful opportunity to work with people from the wider community who are interested in theatre.
