POH Nepal

In the October school holidays, the Nepal pilgrimage takes place. This is for students from Years 9, 10 and 11. The group stay at a hotel in Kathmandu, and serve at a number of homes and orphanages run by the Missionaries of Charity Sisters and other organisations.

The pilgrims self select two service placements from a choice of six. These placements range from working in the oncology ward at a children’s hospital, to working in orphanages for children ranging from babies to teenagers. The mornings are usually spent in physical work, either cleaning or gardening, and the afternoons are spent playing with the children.
