Boarding at Christ Church
Christ Church has been caring for boarders for almost a century. Our boarders come from country districts in Western Australia, inter-state and overseas. The diversity of their backgrounds enriches school life. The boys have the opportunity to develop friendships with students from all over the world.
Boatshed
This building houses the boats used by the Don Fraser Club. It is situated on the banks of Freshwater Bay overlooking the Swan River.
Classrooms
The Christ Church classroom is human, warm, comfortable and happy. It is physically and intellectually inspiring. Respect for teachers and students is paramount and there is an overwhelming sense of fairness and tolerance of individual difference. Our classrooms are places of discovery and fun. The atmosphere is safe, secure and supportive and there is constant interaction through questioning, teamwork and group discussion.
Music Department
The recently refurbished Music Department building has stunning views overlooking the Swan River. It is home to music administration, classrooms, a computer lab, keyboard lab, video facility and music library.
Old Boys' Gallery
The Old Boys' Gallery is a place for display of art works owned by the School, including items from the Foundation art collection. This venue is used for School exhibitions and has also been utilised for social functions.
Sandover Dining Hall
The Sandover Dining Hall, first established in 1968, is the boarder's dining room where meals are served. It is also used for social functions such as suppers and formal dinners.
Chapel
The School Chapel is an iconic building with an outlook of the Swan River. It is primarily used for School events, assemblies and events for the wider community.

The Taming Of The Shrew
Old-fashioned gender roles and the ‘virtue’ of marriage in Shakespeare’s time were topics at the centre of the Year 9's performance of an excerpt of Act V, Scene II from The Taming of the Shrew. Adam Larbalestier performed as Katherine, the wife of Petruchio, who was played by Ben Power.

The School's Innovation Design Challenge
2007 is the second year in which Christ Church Grammar School has entered the finals of ‘The Schools Innovation Design Challenge’. The challenge requires students from various schools across Australia to design a 1/20th scale Formula One style racing car. The fastest car wins.
Mathematicians Up For The Challenge
The Australian Mathematics Challenge, a national programme running for the entirety of Terms 2 and 3 is run by Mr Ferguson, Mr Mailes and Mr Ruthven and includes many highly detailed and difficult questions.

Christ Church students have excelled in the area of Commerce and Economics throughout 2007.
Health Centre
The Health Centre caters for the primary health care of students and staff. When children of staff are sick they may be cared for at the centre during school hours.
Canteen and Refectory
The Canteen, a service provided by the School and proudly supported by the Parents' Association, is located on the ground floor, eastern wing of the Student Refectory, and is open daily from Monday to Friday during term time.
History
Christ Church Grammar School opened in 1910 as the Christ Church Preparatory School, on a site at the corner of Queenslea Drive and Stirling Highway in Claremont.
Year 7, 2010 Presentation
As a result of the State Government's changes to entry ages for WA schools, boys entering Year 7 from 2010 will turn 12 before 30 June of that year. As a result, the Year 7 cohort in 2010 will be approximately 6 to 9 months older than in previous years.
