Hold the phone – Pre-Primary rocks!
The School’s youngest boys began their Christ Church journey this week as Pre-Primary staff welcomed students in small groups over three days. Once settled, it was full steam ahead exploring their new classrooms and playground while getting to know each other.
Pre-Primary to Year 2 Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator Holly Miller said the main outcome of the first week was for boys to feel happy and secure, and to develop positive relationships with each other. “It is always a joy to hear boys talk excitedly with mums and dads at pick-up time about their new friends and the fun they had at school today,” Ms Miller said.
When asked what they liked most about their first week of Pre-Primary at Christ Church, the consensus was building, especially with blocks.
Harry (PPHM), a big fan of blocks as well as dinosaurs, said he was happy that he had made two new friends. “But I forgot one of their names,” he said.
Lachlan C (PPMW) was most impressed with “giant tap” in the playground: “You get to pump the water yourself!”
Nicholas (PPMW) said he really liked watching stories on the whiteboard.
Declan (PPHM) enjoyed one of the painting activities. “We got to paint some flowers. I love painting flowers,” he said.
Aaron (PPHM) also liked painting: “I like painting rockets that go to Mars!” When asked what he thought of his new teachers, Aaron said: “My teachers think I’m clever because I can do clever things like building battleships!”
