Prep PMC by the Sea
Students from the Prep School’s Peter Moyes Centre were so inspired by their visit to Sculpture by the Sea at Cottesloe Beach – they decided to give it a go themselves.
The resourceful, young artists used their shoes to make their own creation amongst the 50 sculptures on show. The free public exhibition, which showcases work by Western Australia’s leading and emerging sculptors as well as invited interstate and international sculptors, allows the public to interact and engage with the art.
The boys and staff enjoyed a wonderful morning viewing, touching and climbing with Jake Dimovitis (Year 6) acting as the group’s tour guide. Jake used the Kids’ Guide of the Sculptures to lead the group around the exhibition and shared the stories behind the artists’ creations. Sculpture by the Sea is on display until March 18.
