Queenslea Head of House and Humanities teacher Digby Gibson was duly promoted to Full Lieutenant by the Unit Officer Commanding Captain Conrad Scott. Mr Gibson was formerly filling the Junior Second Lieutenant position since his appointment into the Australian Army Cadet organisation in February 2008.

Christ Church Army Cadets Co-ordinator Mick O'Sullivan said: "Digby has done various Army promotion modules to gain recognition for this advancement. He has actively taken on a First Aid Instruction role in our Cadet unit and the School after doing a St John's First Aid Instructors course in 2008. He works extremely well within the adult team of the unit and has thrived in his position in the uniform of the Australian Army Cadet organisation."

Year 11 Cadet Lance Corporal Lachlan O'Hare was also promoted to full Corporal after a very strong contribution in all areas of his Cadet role as the Q/Log NCO during Term 1, 2010 over the weekend Bivouac at Muchea.
