Mathematicians Up For The Challenge
The Australian Mathematics Challenge, a national programme running for the entirety of Terms 2 and 3 is run by Mr Ferguson, Mr Mailes and Mr Ruthven and includes many highly detailed and difficult questions.
Christ Church Grammar School excelled in the challenge with two students out of forty Year 10s in Australia achieving a High Distinction, eight of our boys out of one hundred and fifteen Year 9’s around the country scoring a High Distinction and eleven of out Year 8 receiving a High distinction along with only ninety seven others in Australia.
Year 8 Distinctions go to Matthew Stewart, James Knox and Alex Horton.
A Year 9 Distinction goes to Riley Skevington.
Year 8 High Distinctions go to Harry Breidahl, Guy Coleman. Declan Davis. Thomas Drake-Brockman, Christopher O’Keeffe, Fraser Wallace, Ruaridh Williamson, Huw Glossop, Daniel Hing, Hugh Edwards and Sam Foster, and
Year 9 High Distinctions go to Robert Buttner, William Crohan, David see, Patrick Dyer, Vibhushan Manchanda, Ben McAllister, Michael Ng and Victor Yau.
