Make Your Own Story Book Competition
This year some of our Year 8 classes entered the “Make Your Own Story Book Competition”.
This is a very popular state wide event, and we were delighted to see Lloyd Drake-Brockman awarded second prize for his beautifully illustrated rhymed story, presented in the style of A Little Golden Book.
The other entries in our internal competition were all promising and it seems that the School is lucky to have such a multi talented group of budding storyteller / artists within our Year 8 cohort.
At a morning tea in the CLC Library, Head of English Simon Hunn presented certificates and book vouchers to the five best entries. The awards were as follows:
First Prize: Lloyd Drake Brockman for Lewis The Lost Lion
Second Prize: Simon Swan for Mr Piggy
Equal Third: Patrick Burton for Harry and the Washing Machine
Equal Third: William Nelson for Rory’s Adventure
Highly Commendable: Blair Ward for The Hard Life
We look forward to participating in next years competition and discovering more budding illustrators and authors.
