My last employer was Mater Christi Catholic Primary School where I held the position of Year 5 teacher for four years. Prior to that I taught Year 4 at Iona Presentation Primary School for two years.

My passions include teaching, food, travel, fonts and visiting Kmart (I have a great love for all things marble).

A key highlight in my life to date has been getting married last year and starting a small business called Get Flapped selling old school flap hats in funky designs.

My last employer was WA Football Commission/AFL where I held the position of WA High Performance Manager, managing and developing talented footballers for the AFL and WAFL.

My passions include facilitating the growth of young people to realise and reach their potential, developing relationships one-on-one for the good of a community, personal growth, I want to live to learn, stay strong and be a good husband and father.

A key highlight in my life to date has been having three children and delivering my baby girl.

Deborah Hill

My last employer was St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls where I held the position of Alumni Officer.

My passions include sailing, bike riding, swimming, reading, tennis and champagne.

A key highlight in my life to date has been sailing up the east coast of Australia and islands of the South Pacific in a 28’ yacht (insanely small for such vast distances!), then marrying my partner at the end of our 2 year journey, then having 2 children.

I consider my strengths to be in interpersonal relations, communication, domestic triage, enthusiasm of new pursuits (eg. doing things more efficiently, being resourceful, trying new directions).

My passions include AFL (WCE), cooking (with lots of spice) and sharing creative ideas.

Georgina Hodges

My last employer was Horizons Childcare where I held the position of Assistant Educator.

My passions include animals and working with children as well as fitness and healthy living.

My passions include water sports (wake boarding, surfing, diving, fishing), football, basketball, travelling and the environment.

A key highlight in my life to date has been graduating university with a double degree in Marine and Environmental Science, as well as living with a host family in Japan.

I consider my strengths to be my easy going nature and I can communicate well with others. I am also punctual and have good time-management skills.

Jarrod Kayler Thomson

My last employer was Butler College where I held the position of Health and Physical Education teacher (2015 to 2016). I was also employed at Wesley College as a Boarding House Supervisor (2011 to 2016).

My passions include my family, our pets (Sebastian, Belle and Lady), all sports, teaching and coffee.

A key highlight in my life to date has been marrying my wife in Hawaii and the birth of our son Hunter Wilde in August 2016.

Jeremy Power

My last employer was Aquinas College where I held the position of Health and Physical Education teacher (also coaching athletics and tennis).

My passions include sport and physical activity including the NBA and all things basketball, as well as the Adelaide Crows. I also love to travel and hope to continue to see as much of the world as I can.

A key highlight in my life to date has been the opportunity to work at a summer camp in North Carolina, where I got to experience a wide range of things and what it is like working with children of a completely different culture.

I consider my strengths to be in my ability to connect with people. I feel I connect with students, staff and parents well, which is beneficial for more than just my teaching career.

My passions include avocado, Christmas, reading, Frank Sinatra, and Border Collie puppies.

Hollie Syred

My last employer was Rockingham Beach Education Support Centre where I held the position of Classroom teacher for Years 1 and 2. I worked with five Education Assistants and had fifteen students with special needs in my class.

My passions include keeping fit and healthy. I enjoy crossfit and travelling the world. I recently travelled to South America and am looking forward to planning my next trip away.

A key highlight in my life to date has been recently getting engaged to my partner Brent whilst on a holiday in Broome. Another highlight was completing a Masters degree in Special Education in 2015.

I consider my strengths to be my optimism, determination, and that I have an energetic and caring nature. I pride myself on my motivation and organisational skills.
