As the holidays approach it’s right to acknowledge all within the community for what has been an exceptional term. Much of this effort will be revealed in the soon to be released student reports. It is appropriate to thank all of the staff for their incredible work in preparing the reports that will add to insights gained through parent-teacher evenings throughout the first half of the year.

This week I attended the Ellington Jazz Club with a number of staff, families and friends. The Christ Church boys performed numerous Jazz numbers, all showcasing the extraordinary musical talent that we have in the School. Thank you to the Music Department for arranging such a superb evening. Special mention of Paul Millard, who has an amazing passion for Jazz and as such really provides these boys with an outstanding understanding of all aspects of this music genre, and to Rhiannon Hodgson for her master of ceremony skills.

On Tuesday, together with many others, I watched the Year 12 prefects do their very best against MLC in the Great Divide netball match. Some excellent shooting and passes from the boys kept the spectators guessing who might be victorious. At the final whistle, it was MLC who claimed the trophy for another year. Here are a couple of photos from the match.

During the break I will have the pleasure of hosting two community gatherings for our alumni, one in Sydney and the other in Melbourne. If you would like to join me at either event please follow the links.
