Early Leaning Community – Play-based Learning
A lifelong journey begins – Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Pre-Primary
Creating playful, fun, hands-on, authentic experiences for your son and a meaningful and purposeful context to apply and develop his skills together with others.
The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia defines play based learning as “a context for learning through which children organise and make sense of their social worlds, as they engage actively with people, objects and representations.”
At Christ Church, we understand the important role of play as a vehicle for learning and are intentional in our provision of a learning environment and program that supports children’s interests and encourages exploration and inquiry through play and experiential learning.
Experiential learning is essential to boys’ development because it contributes to their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. It is how boys naturally learn and discover their world. We understand that young boys need to be immersed in hands-on learning experiences which build their dispositions for learning and enable them to explore, question, collaborate, think critically, problem solve, communicate and discover new knowledge.
