About us

Established in 1910, Christ Church Grammar School is a Pre-Primary to Year 12 Anglican day and boarding school for boys in Perth, Western Australia. With more than 1650 students, its Preparatory School caters for boys from Pre-Primary to Year 6, and its Senior School for boys in Years 7 to 12. Boys from Years 7 to 12 can attend as day students or boarders.

Christ Church has a long and proud history in educational achievement, and with consistently strong academic results is one of the best performing, non-selective schools in the country – Christ Church builds good men.  Men who leave the School equipped to live positively and courageously in an increasingly complex world.

With exceptional teaching staff, the School delivers an outstanding program combined with the best features of a non-selective school (a balanced education and diverse student body). Christ Church is distinguished by an involved and wonderful community, with parents encouraged to participate in many aspects of school life. Places at the School are in demand as it offers academic excellence combined with character development. For example, the School conducts unique outdoor programs, including an experience on a tall ship sailing the pristine waters in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, an expedition based challenge or ‘rite of passage’ set in the rugged and exposed south coast national parks of Western Australia and a range of local, national and international service experiences.

Christ Church is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and is a school that seamlessly combines the fine traditions of the past with a contemporary curriculum specifically designed for boys.
