Christ Church Grammar School is seeking applications from dynamic, passionate and committed educators for this full-time, ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2025.

This position requires an educator with experience teaching Science incorporating Biology, Chemistry and Physics in Year 7 and 8 and Biology in Year 9 and 10.  The successful applicant will also have the ability to teach and plan for  Year 11 and 12 ATAR Psychology.

You will join a department that supports innovative classroom practice and engages with boys in relation to their individual learning requirements.  Ideally the successful applicant will possess an exceptional understanding of current educational pedagogy and an understanding of boys’ educational teaching and learning practices.

The successful applicant will support the ethos of the School, possess excellent teaching and interpersonal skills, will have an exceptional understanding of innovative educational pedagogy and show an understanding of boys’ educational teaching and learning practices.

It is an expectation of the School that all members of staff contribute to the co-curricular program in a way that balances the needs of the School and the successful applicant’s talents and interests.

The School is looking for a suitably qualified technician to join the Design and Technology Department in the Senior School commencing Term 1, 2025.

The Design and Technology facility is a purpose built, modern and versatile facility that provides opportunities for our boys to explore and develop innovative, enterprising and creative talents by designing and constructing practical products.

The primary role of the Design and Technology Technician is to provide support and assistance to students and staff in the delivery of the departments’ academic program from Years 7 to 12 including:

  • Assisting teachers in classroom workshops
  • Maintaining machinery, equipment and resources
  • Ensuring a safe working and learning environment
  • Undertaking acquisition, storage and replenishment of supplies and equipment
  • Maintaining clean workshops, storerooms and finishing rooms
  • Undertaking projects as part of an ongoing program of facilities development
  • Undertaking tasks related to the promotion of Design and Technology

An integral position to the Office of Advancement, the Advancement and Stewardship Co-ordinator organises the cultivation and stewardship activities to enable best practice in the management of donors and stakeholders. Overseeing a prospective pipeline of 40 donors, the position will support the Director of Advancement to solicit gifts in support of the annual giving program, capital campaign and bequests (The Mitre Society).

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to philanthropy by developing relationships with the school community to support the School’s strategic plan, masterplan and the Advancement strategic plan.

It is anticipated the successful applicant will hold appropriate qualifications and relevant experience.  They will have excellent relationship management skills, be a self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently and as part of a team.
