Following thirty-one years of dedicated service to the School including sixteen years in the role of Deputy Principal/Head of the Senior School, Mr Roger Bayly will be retiring at the end of 2018.  As a result, an exciting opportunity exists for an outstanding educator and dynamic leader to guide the overall operation of the Senior School and the implementation of the School’s mission, vision and strategic plan.

As a member of the School Executive, the Deputy Principal/Head of the Senior School is accountable to the Principal and leads the Pastoral Committee consisting of the Head of Houses, Director of Boarding, Director of Boys’ Health and Wellbeing, School Chaplain and School psychologists in the Senior School as well as liaising with the Head of the LW Parry Preparatory School.

In particular, the Deputy Principal/Head of the Senior School works on a daily basis to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Senior School. This includes overseeing the Senior School’s academic and co-curricular programs, enacting the School’s strategic plan and implementing School Policy through the relevant members of Executive. A vital component of this role is to identify and implement innovative practice as the School strives for continuous improvement across all aspects of its planning and operation.

It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be an astute manager of people, able to draw the best out of colleagues and students. In addition, they will model and have a deep understanding of educating boys that enables our graduates to leave with a strength of character, and a thorough understanding of what it means to be respectful, humble and compassionate men who act with integrity.
