Two positions available

Christ Church Grammar School is seeking two trainees to be employed during 2023 at its Outdoor Education Centre, Kooringal, situated on the Murray River near the town of Dwellingup and 110 kilometres south-east of Perth.

This is an exciting opportunity commencing mid-January 2023 where you will complete a Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation along with other associated outdoor recreation qualifications.  The positions would ideally suit young enthusiastic persons who are keen to work with young people, enjoy being in the outdoor environment and possess a willingness to work and learn in all areas.  The one-year traineeship will be particularly valuable for people considering career pathways in education, outdoor recreation or sports industries.

The applicants we are seeking should have recently completed Year 12 studies and have a valid Australian driver’s licence, you will be physically fit and enjoy practical learning.  You will be required to work in a wide variety of environments across Western Australia and will be based/live in at our Kooringal Outdoor Education Centre.

Christ Church Grammar School is seeking to appoint an energetic and innovative teacher, committed to delivering excellence in our Humanities Department for Semester 1, 2023.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate experience and skills in delivering the HASS curriculum with the ability to teach Accounting and Business Management and Enterprise will be considered advantageous.

The successful applicant will support the ethos of the School, possess excellent teaching and interpersonal skills, will have an exceptional understanding of innovative educational pedagogy and show an understanding of boys’ educational teaching and learning practices.

The School is seeking to appoint two energetic and innovative teachers, committed to delivering excellence in our Languages Department during 2023.

The roles require educators with experience teaching French across Years 7 to 12 to join a department that support innovative classroom practice and engages with boys in relation to their individual learning requirements.

Christ Church Grammar School is seeking applications from dynamic, passionate and committed educators for this full-time, fixed-term position for Semester 1, 2023.

The Career Counsellor works with students to identify their career pathways, providing counselling advice and ongoing support.  The role co-ordinates partnerships with business, training organisations and community groups to support students’ transition to post-secondary education and employment.

This position requires a committed educator that can teach Career and Enterprise General (Year 11) and Health and Wellbeing – Career Development (Year 10).  In addition, the successful applicant will have a good understanding of Workplace Learning (INSTEP), a thorough appreciation of local, interstate and overseas universities, university applications, scholarships, residential colleges and experience in guiding students in post school decision-making.

It is an expectation of the School that all members of staff contribute to the co-curricular program in a way that balances the needs of the School and the successful applicant’s talents and interests. Similarly, staff are expected to be fully supportive of their pastoral responsibilities in a School that values highly the care of the individual within a House system that is vertically organised into tutor groups.
