Christ Church Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and passionate English educator to join our vibrant teaching team for a part-time (0.70 FTE), fixed-term position for Term 1, 2026.  This role involves teaching English from Year 7 to Year 12, and experience teaching English ATAR would be considered advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be committed to applying pedagogical strategies that support the diverse abilities and multicultural backgrounds of our students, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment. You will collaborate closely with colleagues within the English department to develop and deliver a cohesive curriculum, ensuring consistent standards across planning, assessment, and moderation processes.

As an English educator, you will create engaging and stimulating lessons, incorporating opportunities for students to explore learning beyond the classroom and use external resources to enrich their understanding. You will also play an active role in fostering independent learning, guiding students in developing effective study strategies, and ensuring regular homework and assessments are set and marked in line with school policies. 

An important aspect of this role is contributing to the School with our extensive co-curricular program.  You will be expected to contribute to this program, where you can bring your own skills and interests to enhance the wider school community.  Co-curricular expectations are proportional to your assigned teaching load.

2-year appointment

Christ Church Grammar School is seeking an experienced, dedicated coaching professional to lead the First XV and manage and steward the rugby program from Year 5 upward.  The position is for approximately seven months per year commencing mid-February and concluding in August depending on annual PSA fixturing. It is anticipated that contact hours will be approximately 10 hours per week.

The First XV Rugby Coach will work closely with the Director of Sport and Teacher in Charge of Rugby to provide students of all skill levels with the best possible environment to enjoy their rugby, team success, and maximise potential.  The School rugby program will establish a pathway for a student to develop under the direction of a quality program and coaches from junior to 1st teams, as well as state and national teams.

This role demands highly developed communication skills combined with highly effective strategies to develop players and coaches.  The successful applicant will be a motivated rugby-orientated person who can demonstrate broad knowledge of rugby and coaching experience. Candidates should hold a Level 2 coaching qualification with a Level 3 coaching qualification expected long-term, along with those others outlined in the Duty Statement.

Christ Church Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Music educator to join our vibrant teaching team for a part-time, ongoing position starting Term 1, 2026.  This role involves teaching Music from Year 7 to Year 12.

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative Music Educator with the ability to conduct ensembles including bands, orchestras, and choral groups. The ideal candidate will contribute positively to both curriculum and co-curricular music programs and be enthusiastic about participating in music tours and excursions.

Familiarity with the Kodály and Orff methods is desirable, along with the ability to integrate technology such as notation software, DAWs, and recording equipment into teaching. A commitment to teamwork and maintaining consistent standards of best practice across the department is essential.

An important aspect of this role is contributing to the School with our extensive co-curricular program.  You will be expected to contribute to this program, where you can bring your own skills and interests to enhance the wider school community.  Co-curricular expectations are proportional to your assigned teaching load, which may vary from term to term depending on the vagaries of the timetable.
