PERFORM

We acknowledge that we have been on a journey with the PERFORM project and we thank you for staying the distance with us. We are delighted to announce that we are working with Kerry Hill Architects to build PERFORM.

PERFORM will be the cultural centre of our school—dedicated to every student’s personal growth. It’s a place to build the inner man, reflecting our commitment to health and wellbeing, 21st-century skills, Centre for Ethics and the performing arts. PERFORM lays a vital foundation for lifelong success by cultivating confidence, communication, critical thinking, and creativity—skills that seamlessly translate from the classroom to the boardroom, the workplace, and every aspect of life.

This facility will be the largest building investment the School has ever made. In consultation with the Directors of Drama, Music and ICT along with external advice from Shuler Shook Theatre Design and Perth Audio Visual, we have ensured that all design considerations have been explored, and the building is efficient and will be used to its capacity.

St John’s Wood Phase II

Each week, the School relies on a bus service to transport nearly 1,000 students to various training sessions and games at different locations. By consolidating all winter sports, including Cross Country, into a single site, we can foster a stronger sense of community and enhance the spectator experience. We are excited to introduce St John’s Wood Phase II.

The new facility, covering the equivalent of three football ovals, is bordered by the St John’s Wood playing fields, the John XXIII playing fields, and the University of WA playing fields.

Pavilion Challenge

Imagine a single, vibrant hub where all our winter sports come together—a place where our boys train, compete, and grow as teammates and young men. The pavilion at St John’s Wood will do more than centralise our sport; it will create a sense of unity, school spirit, and pride.

Bringing all our playing fields together in one location, similar to other PSA schools, will create a more cohesive space for the entire community. Spectators will be able to seamlessly move between fields, without additional travel or parking. This development also offers the opportunity to build a more vibrant supporter community, all cheering on the blue and gold.

By contributing to this project, you’re helping to build a building—but importantly, you’re helping to continue the Christ Church culture. Your support ensures current and future generations of students benefit from a facility that reflects the importance of sport in education and community life. This is a gift that you can be proud of long after the final whistle.

Donations to the pavilion are tax-deductible and every donation will be recognised at the official opening event – a tribute to your generous support.

Old boys

Wonderful memories and lifelong friendships have been built on the playing fields at Christ Church.

In 2025 the School and old boys are combining their efforts to collectively raise $2.5M for the new sport pavilion. The OBA will have the unique privilege of naming the pavilion when the $2.5M target is reach, creating an OBA legacy for years to come. The pavilion will be a space to gather and reconnect, celebrate sporting achievements and house OBA memorabilia.

The old boys have a long and proud history with supporting the School in fundraising for key projects. In 1952, the OBA raised funds for the construction of a classroom wing. In 1957, they gathered money for the Memorial Pavilion at Mount Claremont. In 1988, the focus shifted to a new science facility, and in 2006, funds were raised for the Visual Arts, Design, and Technology Building. For the full history of this great partnership, click here.

Boarding Scholarships

Boarders have been a vital part of our school community for more than a century. Coming from regional, national and international backgrounds, boarders contribute to a diverse residential community supported by exceptional pastoral care. In this home away from home, boys form life-long friendships, develop independence and learn the importance of cooperation and empathy in a tight-knit community.

There are many able students who face geographic and/or financial barriers to accessing a Christ Church Grammar School education. Your gift will support a young man from a regional or rural background to experience boarding at Christ Church, including our strong pastoral and recreational programs.

Join the Mitre Society

Leaving a gift to Christ Church Grammar School is a deeply personal decision – one that we understand comes only after your loved ones have been thoughtfully considered.

Once your family’s needs are met, please consider including the School in your legacy. A bequest of any size will make a lasting difference, helping ensure future generations of students benefit from the same values, opportunities, excellence that shaped your family’s journey. It’s not about giving everything – it’s about being remembered for supporting something that truly matters.

The Mitre Society was established in 1995 to honour and recognise those who, during their lifetime, indicate their intention to leave a gift in their will to Christ Church. Through membership to the Society, we look forward to extending special invitations to events and our annual Mitre Society event to induct new members.

Compassionate Fund

Living by our Values

The Christ Church community lives by our values of Respect, Integrity, Excellence and Care and Compassion. We want to support current Christ Church families who, through extenuating circumstances, fall into financial difficulty through no fault of their own.

We receive requests for financial assistance throughout the year and we cannot help all the families that require some level of short-term financial assistance. With your support, we can help students remain at school, in their routine, and in a familiar environment with their friends.

In the past the School has been reactive to these requests, hoping to find financial support from different sources to help. We acknowledge as a school that we need to be more strategic about these requests and plan.

We would like to create an endowment fund to be held in a high interest cash account. The interest generated from the endowment would be used to support families who are successful in their request to receive short-term financial assistance.

Compassionate Fund bursaries are assessed by the Compassionate Fund Committee on a case-by-case basis and reviewed each term. Transparent reporting of all financial assets/liabilities are compulsory when applying for assistance. Documentation in support of an application includes:

  • A completed Bursary Application Form
  • A completed and signed Statement of Financial Position
  • Copies of the applicant’s latest tax return
  • Three months bank statements

Applications are reviewed by the Compassionate Fund Committee which consists of:

  • Principal
  • Chief Financial Officer
  • Director of Advancement
  • Deputy Principal / Head of Senior School / Head of Preparatory School
  • Chaplain

An annual report will be generated for School Council outlining how funds have been spent in one academic year.

Please help us to support Christ Church families when they need it the most.
