Senior School

The Christ Church Senior School carries an enrolment of 1160 boys from Year 7 through to Year 12. In the Senior School, your son will continue the journey through the Phases of Learning, which centre on motivating him to discover and realise the best in himself and others.

Breadth and depth – Years 7 and 8

Exploring his abilities
Boys are challenged to extend themselves during these vital transition years in the Senior School, both in and outside the classroom. The aim of this phase is to expand their view of themselves, explore their abilities in the different subject disciplines and continue their exploration of the world outside the School.

Choice and challenge – Years 9 and 10

Choosing his path in life
Boys have a greater choice over a range of academic and co-curricular subjects in which they can explore their individual skills and talents. This phase of learning is the next step towards discovering the men they hope to become as well as helping them to shape their future dreams into achievable goals.

Excellence and expertise – Years 11 and 12

Mastering skills for his future
In his final two years of schooling, each student takes on the challenge of mastering the skills necessary for his chosen pathway. He is encouraged to take full responsibility for his learning as he focuses on developing excellence and expertise in his six chosen subjects.
