Academic diversity

True to the intent of the School’s founder Canon McClemans, who aspired to provide a school that catered for all boys, Christ Church is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive community where individuals are respected and all boys can belong.

As an academically inclusive school, Christ Church accepts boys with a wide range of abilities – from those who are academically gifted, through to students with learning challenges or students with special needs who are taught in our Peter Moyes Centre.

Students are encouraged to challenge themselves through an extensive range of opportunities available across the whole school. Click on academic enrichment to be inspired by our diverse programs including Philosophy and Literacy Enrichment for Pre-Primary to Year 4 boys, and Study Lab and Enigma for Senior School students. Teachers conduct ongoing assessments to identify students who require further challenges, in order to optimise their learning.

Psychology and counselling team

Christ Church also provides a variety of services for students to maximise their educational opportunities and outcomes. The psychologists work closely with the boys and provide appropriate interventions and strategies to best support them.
