This week, Kindergarten boys welcomed their dads, grandfathers and father figures into their classroom to host a Father’s Day morning tea and playdate. After enjoying some breakfast treats, they took advantage of the morning sunshine and headed outdoors to play basketball and soccer, fly paper planes, run around the playground, and hammer away at the building station. Activities inside included reading, colouring, paper plane making, puzzles, and crafts.

Our boys love inviting their parents, grandparents, and special friends into their classrooms and showing them what they have made at school. There is something magical about stepping into a children’s classroom, full of colourful artwork, beautifully illustrated books, bright colours, toys, games, plants, and sometimes even classroom pets, with a background of children playing and giggling. It is no wonder that parents, grandparents and special friends similarly cherish these special moments immersed in their son’s (or grandson’s) world away from home. Thank you to everyone who came along to this wonderful celebration. The School would like to wish all dads and father figures a happy Father’s Day for Sunday we hope you enjoy quality time with your family and loved ones.
