Cadets raise the bar at AFX18
Seventy cadets from Christ Church Grammar School's Army Cadet Unit were deployed to Bindoon and Northam Army Training Areas over the school holidays, successfully completing the 2018 Brigade Annual Field Exercise (AFX18). Old boy saved thanks to surf life saving cadets
In 2002 Nick O’Halloran (’04) signed up to be a surf lifesaving cadet, joining the first ever group of students at Christ Church to enter the course under the direction of Teacher in Charge, Shane McGurk. Little did he know that 16 years later he would be applying those course skills to save the life of a fellow old boy. read more

Cadets complete promotion courses for senior leadership positions
Between 6 to 14 January, Christ Church Grammar School Army Cadets attended the Cadet Under Officer and Warrant Officer courses held at Leeuwin Barracks and Bindoon Training Area, where Cadet Sergeants (CDTSGT) Zhou, Rocchi, McQuillan and Maloney qualified as platoon commanders by completing the CUO course, and CDTSGT Kay attended the WO course to fulfil the role of Company Sergeant Major. read more

Over the school holidays, the Christ Church Grammar School Army Cadet Unit were deployed to Bindoon and Northam Army Training Areas, successfully completing the 2017 Brigade Annual Field Exercise (AFX17). This included four of our cadets receiving marksmanship awards. read more

Between 12 to 14 August our Army Cadet Unit (ACU) were deployed to Bindoon Military Training Area to carry out their Term 3 field exercise. The exercise provided cadets with the opportunity to reinforce useful skills in fieldcraft, navigation and teamwork. read more

During the first week of the holidays, 10 Christ Church Army Cadets and three cadet instructors participated in the Western Australian Army Cadet Brigade Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Course. The march-out parade took place with 75 cadets completing the course. read more

Our Army Cadet Unit were deployed to Bindoon Training Area over the recent weekend for their Term 2 field exercise. The focus of this field exercise was for the senior leadership group to plan, deliver orders and execute a number of tasks in a tactical manner. read more
CPR hero receives Bravery Award
Described as a tremendous ambassador for both Christ Church and Surf Life Saving WA, Year 11 student Stanley McFarlane was recently presented a Bravery Award by WA Premier Mark McGowan at the SLSWA Coastal Bravery Awards. read more
Army Cadets deliver an exemplary start
Our Army Cadet Unit have been keeping busy with a number of support activities in past months, including a recent guard and flag orderly for Dalkeith Primary School’s Anzac assembly. This was their sixth year of involvement and is now an annual fixture on the unit’s calendar. read more
