CCGS cadets honour ANZAC legacy across Perth
Published on: 30 April 2026
Christ Church Army Cadets played an active role in commemorative events for ANZAC Day across Perth, continuing a proud tradition of service and community engagement.
Last Friday, cadets attended the ANZAC morning service at Dalkeith Primary School, participating in the ceremony as they have done for many years. Their ongoing involvement continues to be an important and valued part of this longstanding community connection.
On ANZAC Day, the Claremont RSL Sub-Branch, in partnership with the Town of Claremont, held its annual ANZAC Day ceremony at Claremont Park. Principal Mr Alan Jones and Cadet Sergeant Felix Maxted (Year 11) represented the School, laying a wreath on behalf of Christ Church in an act of remembrance.
Later that morning, 30 Cadets took part in the Perth CBD ANZAC Day march, serving as banner ensigns and flag bearers for the 2/28 Battalion Association, of which the Cadet Unit is the proud custodian. Marking the 111th ANZAC Day commemoration, the Association expressed deep appreciation for the Cadets’ professionalism and support.
Through their involvement across these events, our cadets demonstrated respect, service, and a strong commitment to honouring and preserving the legacy of those who served.
