On Friday morning during a special assembly over two hundred Year 7 boys new to the School participated in a special bell ringing ceremony in front of their classmates and parents.

Starting in 2020, the ceremony involves all new students ringing a bell to mark the start of their Christ Church journey. Upon completing their studies in Year 12 these boys will ring the bell a final time to mark the end of their time at the School. All Year 7 boys received an individually numbered cap that they will take with them through Senior School.

The bell is engraved with the names of Teresa Scott, a key figure in the School’s Centre for Ethics for over 15 years  and longtime Chaplain Father Frank Sheehan, who retired in 2020. It is a very special tradition for the boys.
