Last week was a true celebration of athletic excellence, with both the JPSSA and PSA Athletics Carnivals showcasing incredible talent across all year levels.

At the PSA Athletics Carnival, our Senior School athletes delivered a phenomenal effort, securing 4th place. Our team rose to the challenge, delivering outstanding performances that reflected the countless hours of dedication and training  invested.

Several CCGS records were broken on the day:

  • U/13 Long Jump: Will Gibson (Year 7) – 5.32m
  • U/13 Triple Jump: Will Gibson (Year 7) – 11.65m
  • U/13 4 x 100m Relay: Jeremy Jin, Jake Leys, Will Gibson, Jasper Thomson (Year 7)
  • U/15 800m: Fergus Khoo (Year 9) – 2:05.68

Our Preparatory School athletes also made their mark at the JPSSA Athletics Carnival, achieving an impressive 3rd place overall. Sportsmaster Brady Leckie praised the team for their efforts and strong competitive spirit throughout the event.

Special congratulations to the following students for winning their Division 1 events:

  • Henry Mitchelmore (Year 5) – High Jump & 60m Hurdles
  • Will Burgess (Year 4) – 100m & 400m
  • Hugo Maasdorp (Year 5) – Shot Put
  • Tommy Coppin (Year 4) – High Jump
