The Preparatory School A Football Team had an opportunity to ‘Train like an Eagle’ this week at Patersons Stadium in Subiaco. Courtesy of the Rundus Family, who won the prize and donated it to the School, the Year 6 boys received the star treatment at the West Coast Eagles home ground.

Current Eagles player Andrew Gaff took the team on a tour of the club’s facilities including the gym, pool, lecture room and ground. Then the boys were taken through their paces in the Eagles training room where they worked on their ball skills, handballing and kicking.

Physical Education teacher Kim Malajczuk, who accompanied the team, said all the boys were a credit to the School and were very enthusiastic and interested in all they were shown. “Their skills were excellent throughout the training session and the Eagles staff were most impressed,” Mrs Malajczuk said.

“It was a wonderful opportunity for the boys to see how and where professional athletes work and train as well as meet one of the players.”
