Our junior swimmers put on a solid display at last week’s JPSSA Swimming Carnival, winning our first JPSSA Swimming title since 2017 after back-to-back top three finishes in 2018 (3rd) and 2019 (2nd).

This latest success adds to the Preparatory School’s winning tally of eight titles in the last 11 years.

The final results were Christ Church in 1st place with 609.5 points, followed by Wesley College (581.5), Hale School (564), Trinity College (543), Aquinas College (534), Scotch College (505) and Guildford Grammar School (492).

Preparatory School Sportsmaster Mr Brady Leckie said he was very proud of the way the boys demonstrated terrific sportsmanship on the day and were very well led by Swimming Captain Lawson Kirby.

“It was a close finish going into the relays but comfortable in the end, where our boys swam really well and extended the overall lead,” said Mr Leckie.

“The carnival’s point system rewards team swimming, so the end result is really a reward of the boys’ teamwork.”

“Well done to our swimmers on a brilliant team performance.”
