Over the past two weeks, the Year 5 classes have spent three days at Kooringal, the School’s Outdoor Education Centre, enjoying outdoor learning, adventure and time connecting with nature. From making damper and rafting on the Murray River to exploring the bush on an Earthwalk, the boys have embraced a range of experiences that encourage them to try new things and learn beyond the classroom.

Along the way, the boys developed their understanding of responsible fire management, took time to reflect through journaling and discovered special places along the Murray River. They also experienced two sides of camp life, spending one night camping outdoors and another in the comfort of the dormitories.

As the boys progress through the year levels, each Kooringal camp builds on the experiences of the last, introducing new challenges and fostering greater independence, resilience and teamwork.
