Craigie House became back-to-back champions last Friday taking out the Senior School House Athletics Carnival at the WA Athletics Stadium. Craigie claimed the Akos Kovacs Shield on 1,804 points ahead of second-placed Noake (1,748), followed by Hill (1,735.5), Romsey (1,698), Moyes, Jupp, Wolsey, and Queenslea.

Trophies were awarded to the following boys:

Staff Cup (Winner of Open 100m) – Zac Speed (J)

RG Lynn Cup (Winner of Open 200m) – Zac Speed (J)

TM Thompson Cup (Open Jumps/Hurdles) – Lawrence Evans (M)

EB Kirby Cup (Open Distance) – Henry Pennell (M)

Shirley Family Cup (Open Throws) – Kieran Gordon (J)

Open Jennings Cup – Zac Speed (J)

Under 17 Bowers Cup – Isovaine Huddlestone (W)

Under 16 Maclaren Cup – Caiden Curtin (C)

Under 15 Carter Cup –  Zack Bowles (R)

Under 14 Lattice Cup – Jia-Wei Loh (W)

Under 13 Henderson Cup – Riki Wylie (N)

Riki Wylie (N) set a new school record in the Under 13 200m in a time of 27.07secs, as did Zac Speed (J) in the Open 200m in a time of 22.15secs.

The next event for the Christ Church Athletics Team is the Lynn Shield Athletics Meet (Quads) on Friday 6 September followed by the PSA Athletics Carnival on Friday 13 September. Both events will be held at the WA Athletics Stadium.
