Yesterday, a group of Christ Church students took part in the Zero2Hero Conference at the Perth Convention Centre  – WA’s biggest youth mental health forum.

Hosted by Zero2Hero, a leading youth mental health organisation, the event aimed to equip young people with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to support their own mental wellbeing and that of others.

The one-day forum, titled ‘In Your Head,’ featured powerful keynote speakers, interactive panel discussions, and exciting breakout sessions, all designed to give students a deeper understanding of adolescent mental health.

Highlights of the day included talks from:

  • Harry Garside – Australian boxing champion who shared his mental health journey
  • 3NA – A WA hip-hop group using music and dance to spark conversations and inspire change
  • Chris Harris – One of WA’s most trusted experts in youth psychology and mental health
  • Caitlin Bassett – Former Australian netball captain and mental wellness advocate

Engaging breakout activities such as yoga and mindfulness, leadership workshops, and dance jams helped students explore practical ways to manage stress and build resilience.

This event was a valuable experience for all who attended, offering meaningful insights and practical tools to better navigate life’s challenges and support the wellbeing of those around them.
