Rowers sharpen skills at Eaton training camp
Published on: 16 October 2025
Fifty-nine Christ Church rowers maximised their school holidays by participating in a focused four-day training camp held in Eaton.
The camp placed strong emphasis on technical development, and coaches were pleased with the noticeable improvement throughout the sessions. The rowers rounded off the weekend with a mini regatta on the final day, followed by a fun and well-earned afternoon of lawn bowls to unwind.
Nick Sumich, Teacher in Charge of Rowing, reflected on the camp’s success:
“It was great to see the boys arrive at training camp highly motivated, eager to improve, and ready to embrace every challenge that came their way.”
A big thank you goes to the supportive dads who helped run the camp, with special recognition to Andrew Gribble for his outstanding leadership.
The rowers return to training energised and ready for the season ahead.
