With buckets, sponges and plenty of enthusiasm, our boarders are already making an impact ahead of Giving Day on Wednesday 10 June.

As part of the Giving Day House Challenge, boarding students have been raising funds for the Scholarship Fund through a staff car wash initiative. Having already completed four car wash sessions, with two more still to come, the boarders have set the benchmark for this year’s fundraising efforts while demonstrating the generosity and service at the heart of the Christ Church community.

The challenge extends to all Senior School students, who are encouraged to contribute by taking on jobs at home and donating their pocket money to the Scholarship Fund. Every contribution helps create opportunities for boys who may not otherwise have access to a Christ Church education.

Giving Day will support two important funds: The Scholarship Fund and PERFORM, the future home of wellbeing and personal development, music, debating, public speaking and the arts. With construction scheduled to begin soon, PERFORM represents an exciting new chapter for the School and the opportunities available to students.

In the Preparatory School, students are also learning about the value of giving. Through specially created storybooks and classroom discussions on Giving Day, students will explore themes of kindness, empathy and community. These conversations will continue into Term 3, when students will have the opportunity to contribute as all proceeds raised at their Market Day will go to the Scholarship Fund.

As Giving Day approaches, we invite all members of the Christ Church community to join our students in making a difference. Thanks to the generosity of our matching donors, every donation will be doubled, increasing the impact and helping more students thrive.
