Moyes triumphs in an exciting week of athletics

The Senior School enjoyed an thrilling week of athletics, featuring three key events: the Ray House Run, the House Athletics Carnival, and the CCGS Gift.
Last Thursday the Ray House Run took place, with students from each House, Years 7 to 12 competing fiercely on the Senior School oval for valuable House points. Moyes House came away with the win.
Friday’s House Athletics Carnival took place in perfect conditions, with students showing great determination across a variety of track and field events. The day was filled with spirited competition and plenty of enjoyment. Once again, Moyes House came out on top, securing back-to-back wins.

The week concluded on Tuesday with the annual CCGS Gift, a 100m handicap race featuring the fastest age-group winners from the House Athletics Carnival, along with our top Year 5 and 6 sprinters. The crowd cheered loudly as Year 7 student Will Gibson edged out the competition in an exciting finish.
Congratulations to all students who participated and contributed to an exciting week of events. We now look forward to the PSA Inters Athletics Carnival on Friday 12 September and wish all competitors the best of luck.
