During the school holidays, 16 students from Years 10 to 12 took part in the popular annual New Zealand Ski Tour, journeying to the picturesque Cardrona Alpine Resort on New Zealand’s South Island.

Accompanied by staff members Brad Downing and Mike Ristovsky, the group stayed in the beautiful town of Lake Wanaka.

Over five exhilarating days on the slopes, the students advanced their skiing and snowboarding skills, benefiting from some of the best snow conditions Cardrona has experienced in years. Several students experienced snow for the first time on this trip, making their rapid progress all the more impressive.

Off the slopes, the group enjoyed downtime exploring Wanaka’s vibrant local scene, sampling regional cuisine, browsing unique shops, and tackling the mind-bending puzzles at the renowned Puzzling World.

Reflecting on the trip, Brad Downing said,

“The 2025 Ski Trip was fantastic, with the boys displaying exemplary behaviour, camaraderie, and snowboarding ability. It will be a school experience they will always remember.”
