Scores were neck and neck in the first half but the old boys team with more experience, although maybe not as fit, inched to the fore in the second half posting a score the school team could not rein in despite a valiant effort.  At the close the scoreboard read old boys 66, school 54.  Forty spectators enjoyed the game from the first floor balcony.  There followed the presentation of a medal to the fairest and best school boy, Bronte Sutherland by the President of the old boys Adam Collins (1987).  The two Captains Ben Purser (2007) and Brandon Dewberry shook hands before retiring for a well-earned sausage sizzle.  Thanks to committeeman Matt Caddy (2003) and Director of Sport Anthony Lynch for making the arrangements for the game and to coach of the schoolboys Brad Downing for selecting the fairest and best.  James Balfour (2002) organised the old boys team but unfortunately could not play on the day as the result of a basketball injury!
