Cayman Islands – member update 11
Published on: 16 April 2014
Christ Church connections are alive and well in the small territory of the Cayman Islands. Tim Rossiter (1993 – image 1) moved to the Cayman Islands in October 2002 with his wife Cathlin. Their two boys, Dylan and Tyler, were born in Cayman but are enrolled at CCGS! Tim is the coach of the Cayman Islands National Rugby Team, Board Member of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and MOvember Cayman. He is a Director of Harmonic Fund Services.
Anthony McKenzie (1993 – image 2), his wife Jane and children Tom and Matt spent three years in the Cayman Islands (2007 to 2010) where both Anthony and Jane worked as corporate and funds lawyers at Maples and Calder. The family returned to Perth in 2010 where Anthony joined Allen and Overy (with whom he previously worked in London). In August 2012, they decided to pack their bags once again and return to the Cayman Islands, where Anthony is a partner at the new Cayman office of Carey Olsen.
Shaun Hardcastle (2000 – images 3 and 5) and his fiancée, Kate Macpherson (daughter of Ian Macpherson (1974)), moved to the Cayman Islands in August 2012, where Shaun joined Anthony McKenzie as a corporate lawyer with Carey Olsen. Shaun has continued to play rugby union (being coached by old boy Tim Rossiter) and is the coach of the Cayman Islands National Touch Rugby Team. Shaun and Kate will be returning to Perth in November this year to get married in the Swan Valley.
Andrew Pullinger (2000 – image 4) relocated to the Cayman Islands in January 2014 with his fiancée Georgie Lange, where he is now practicing as a commercial litigator with Campbells Attorneys. For the five years prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, Andrew practiced as an international commercial disputes lawyer based in the London office of DLA Piper.
Norman Chan (2000 – image 5) moved to the Cayman Islands in May 2013 and works as a corporate and funds lawyer. Prior to that, Norman was in Perth working as an in-house lawyer for Navitas.
Tim, Anthony, Shaun, Andrew and Norman catch up regularly on the island – it is extremely small after all!
