Since last term, the School has been lucky enough to have Andrea from Kind Planet pay visits to the Early Learning Centre. Andrea has been teaching our Kindergarten students about sustainability through hands-on activities, including composting, maintaining a worm farm and growing vegetables. The boys have loved getting their gardening gloves on, checking on the worms, and the satisfaction of watching their herbs and vegetables grow. These eco-friendly additions to the ELC have been equally educational for students in other year groups who see the compost, worm farm and veggies in the outdoor area.

Kind Planet aims to teach young children about sustainability in a fun and impactful way. They deliver information in a hands-on way to offer engaging experiences for children and educators. They are driven by ensuring continuity of learning as a critical step toward a better future. In addition to what our Kindy students have learnt, Kind Planet also educates children about landfill and recycling processes, reusing materials to reduce waste, keeping chickens, and water conservation.
