Each year our Year 6 boys work collectively with the Preparatory School Art Department and Reif Myers from Oz Boardies to create a unique and very special pair of leavers’ boardshorts.

This tradition stems back 12 years and is something the students look forward to being a part of.

Boardshort designs from the past have included artworks by boys ranging from self-portraits, hobbies, shoes and sporting loves.

“This year we have included every Year 6 boy in an aerial photograph taken by the river,” explains Preparatory School Art Specialist Teacher, Ms Claire Donald.

“Students will then complete a series of native botanical drawings that will be superimposed over the top of the image.”

“Together with Reif’s expertise in graphic design, this year’s shorts will be bright, fashionable yet subtly beautiful with the boys’ artwork featuring throughout.”
