Over 30 Christ Church families made the trek to Kooringal last weekend to see first-hand the School’s Outdoor Education Centre situated in the south west near Dwellingup.

The visit allowed families to gain an insight into the School’s Outdoor Education program by enjoying a tour of the Kooringal property, walking along the beautiful Murray River, taking on the high ropes and rock climbing wall, and listening to a talk by the Director of Kooringal, Ryan Myles. To add to the experience, all guests enjoyed a barbeque lunch and a camp fire which complimented the fine spring day.

“It was fantastic to see the site and experience a taste of what the boys do on their camps. The staff are so wonderful – what a great team! It was nice to be able to meet them and appreciate the great work they do with running the site and all of the programs,” said one of the attendees.

Throughout the year rotations of boys from Years 5 to 9 are immersed in the Kooringal outdoor experience, helping them build a strong awareness of self and living with others, as well as developing vital outdoor and camping skills.
