It’s been a quiet, yet positive start to this Winter season of PSA Sport with Christ Church celebrating two wins against Guildford Grammar School.

In Senior Cross Country, we enjoyed success with a final result of 151 against 394 points. Firsts Badminton also enjoyed success with a final result of 7 against 2 points.

Director of Sport, Anthony Lynch commented that the boys displayed great physical form in Round 1 against Guildford.

“Despite a lengthy absence from sport, the boys came through strong and demonstrated great competitive spirit,” said Mr Lynch.

Meanwhile, our Firsts teams in Soccer, Hockey, Rugby and Football have been busy getting ready for the recommencement of their respective codes. All teams were training throughout Saturday morning, with contact permitted for the first time after a lengthy period of contact restrictions.

As a reminder to all parents:

  • in addition to Badminton and Cross Country, Soccer and Hockey recommences this Friday and Saturday (12 and 13 June) – CCGS vs Trinity
  • PSA bye on 19 and 20 June – no fixtures
  • First full round of PSA Winter fixtures for Years 7 to 12 boys (all codes) will be 26 and 27 June – CCGS vs Wesley (away fixture)
  • Week 10 is CCGS vs Hale (home fixture) on Thursday 2 July – 2.30pm start for all codes
  • Junior Primary School Sport Association (JPSSA) inter-school sport for Preparatory School boys recommences on Thursday 11 June.
