Last Thursday, the Preparatory School opened its doors to families and friends for Open Night, giving visitors the opportunity to step inside and see the boys’ learning and creativity in action.

With this year’s theme, The Greatest Art Show on Earth, the Preparatory School was transformed into a vibrant circus, with colourful displays, creative installations and student work bringing the theme to life throughout the School.

Families enjoyed a range of activities, from soccer on the oval and Mandarin activities to musical performances and the boys’ latest projects in the Innovation Lab. The Art Room and Preparatory School corridors featured circus-inspired artwork, showcasing the boys’ creativity and their exploration of different artists, techniques and styles.

The celebrations continued on Friday with Grandparents Day, as grandparents and grandfriends joined their grandsons for a morning at School. Following the Grandparents Assembly, which featured a wonderful selection of musical performances, including the Prep Rock Workshop, guests spent time with their grandsons and discovered more about their learning.

The morning concluded with grandparents and grandfriends gathering for morning tea in Sandover Dining Hall.

Thank you to all the families, grandparents, grandfriends and parent volunteers who joined us across the two days and helped make the celebrations such a wonderful reflection of our Preparatory School community.
