Christ Church students excel at da Vinci Decathlon

Last week, students from both the Preparatory and Senior School proudly represented Christ Church at the prestigious da Vinci Decathlon, hosted at the University of Western Australia.
The annual academic competition challenges some of Western Australia’s brightest young minds, with students competing in teams of eight across ten disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography, and Legacy.
Lachlan Hall, Head of the Centre of Excellence, highlighted the unique value of the event:
“The da Vinci Decathlon offers an incredible opportunity for students to engage in challenging learning activities that go well beyond the standard curriculum, requiring students to also draw on soft skills in communication, collaboration, and leadership to succeed.”
We are proud to share an exceptional set of results from our students, with the Year 5 and Year 9 teams achieving 1st Overall in their respective divisions.
