Christ Church is committed to continuously expanding the opportunities for PSA students to interact beyond sport. One such opportunity on offer is PSA Theatre Sports, which aims to bring our senior performing arts students together for an energising and rewarding experience in a friendly competition.

This Monday, the PSA 2023 Theatre Sports competition was hosted by Hale School (2022 winner) at the John Inverarity Music and Drama Auditorium. Each PSA school was invited to put forward a team of four to eight students from Years 11 and/or 12.

The Christ Church team included Hawk Hughes, Nic Cradock, Sam Singleton, Jasper Hatton and Hudson Black. The teams participated in a workshop/rehearsal run by the Australian Institute of Theatre Sports. After a dinner break, the competition kicked off in front of a live audience. Judges based their scoring on entertainment, skills such as scene and character development, storyline, and technical game rules.

The skills and talent displayed were excellent across all schools competing including Hale, Guildford Grammar, Trinity, Aquinas, Scotch and Wesley. Our Christ Church team took out the winning title, with Scotch in 2nd place and Wesley in 3rd. The boys were awarded their winning medals by Principal Alan Jones at this morning’s assembly. Congratulations to our Drama students involved!
