Commencing next Wednesday, the School’s Drama Centre transforms into a mystical chocolate factory in the wonderful stage production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Presented by The Midnite Youth Theatre Company and directed by Jodie Busby, the performance based off Ronald Dahl’s original story will feature a fun-loving cast of Years 7 and 8 students.

Those lucky enough to find themselves with a golden ticket will enjoy a non-sensical and ridiculous ride of humour and wit filled with delicious eatables, wild adventures and enough chocolate for a life time.

Charlie Bucket, played by Year 7 Christ Church student Jack Robertson, can hardly believe his luck when he finds the last golden ticket, winning a visit to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. A magical day ensues as Charlie joins other winners to tour the magical and mysterious factory of eccentric candy maker, Willy Wonka.

“I feel incredibly privileged to be part of this play and the experience has been unbelievable,” says Jack ahead of next week’s opening.

“Never have I consumed so much chocolate!”

This upcoming production has something in store for the entire family, so be sure to bring everyone along on this mouth-watering journey!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be performed in the School’s Drama Centre from 6 to 9 November starting at 7.30pm. Click here for full production details and tickets.
