The 2016 Yachting WA Interschool Teams Racing Championships were held at Point Walter from 19 to 20 April. Skill, technique, communication, strategy and a little luck are essential in team racing and Christ Church had three teams competing against 16 schools.

The third and final day of racing dawned with a consistent fresh southeasterly breeze coming in at 10-12 knots, perfect for teams racing,” said Geoff McGillivray, Team Manager. “An excited crowd, including Principal Alan Jones and Director of Planning and Co-curricular Mark Morrissy, were on hand to see Christ Church A open the account for the day with a solid win over Scotch 2. In the final race of the day, and one in which the lead changed numerous times, Christ Church A finally went down to Scotch 1. All in all, a fantastic regatta. Our second place was well-earned,” he said. “The conditions were fantastic and the boys worked very hard for this great result.”
