“You are the cornerstone of your wellbeing” was the key message delivered to Senior School boys over seven weeks in Term 2.

The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing launched its ‘seven evidence-based strategies’ focussed on wellbeing and factors boys can and cannot control. The seven strategies covered; physical activity, sleep, diet and nutrition, connection, planning and organisation, relaxation strategies and asking for help.

Director of The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing, Liam Casson said, “The seven evidence-based strategies outlined, while appearing simplistic, promote an important truth that we are all the cornerstone of our wellbeing.”

“The idea is to highlight to our students and community that regardless of the unique times we are in, it is still extremely important for us all to re-focus our attention on the things that we can directly influence.”

“That is why we have encouraged our boys to create time to visit these strategies each week as part of the pastoral program.”

Supporting the roll-out was a related seven-part video series which boys can access via The Wynne Centre for Boys’ Health and Wellbeing Nexus page. Watch a preview of one of the videos here.
