The 2015 Senior School Art Exhibition opened on Thursday 22 October, showcasing the talents of some impressive visual arts, design and media students.

Captain of Art Lawrence Mitchell emceed the evening, while Headmaster Garth Wynne, Head of Art Pam Yordanoff, guest judge and old boy Matt Saville and Vice Captain of Art Kuberan Muir assisted in the presentation of the 2015 Art prizes.

Lawrence congratulated the artists and award winners, before thanking the staff of the Art Department for their encouragement and dedication to the boys. He also made note of the Parents’ Association.

“Contemporary arts practice is at the core of what drives the pedagogy in our Art Department and it has been a pleasure that we have had the support of the Parents’ Association in providing the funds to work with Jack Pam in the design field and ceramicists Peter Milligan and Georgina Saunders, who delivered a series of wheel throwing workshops this year. We are very grateful,” Lawrence said.

The exhibition includes films and projections, music videos, art installations and design works. It is open from 8.30am to 3.00pm on the first floor of the DTVA building until Friday 13 November.
