Yesterday morning, Scotch College hosted the Sports Captains Breakfast, bringing together the First Team winter sport captains from across the seven PSA schools.

The event provided a valuable forum for captains to connect across schools and codes, strengthening the relationships that underpin PSA sport and reinforcing respect, communication, and integrity throughout the season.

A key focus was the PSA values and standards of play, with captains reflecting on their responsibility to uphold these principles and consistently set the benchmark for sportsmanship across all competitions.

Guest speaker Aran Zalewski, captain of the Australian Men’s Hockey Team (the Kookaburras), led a Q&A session, offering insights into elite performance environments, preparation standards, and leadership at international level.

Our winter sport captains in attendance included Benjamin MacGregor (AFL), Stephan Shen (Badminton), Jacob Moore (Cross Country), Arjun Brian (Hockey), Owen Lisle & Lordan Daly (Rugby), and Ethan Di Martino (Soccer).

With the season now well underway, strong momentum continues to build across our winter codes. We look forward to the weeks ahead under the guidance of our exceptional coaching staff, whose expertise and high-performance approach continue to drive standards across all sports.
